Crossover Idea

I like MLP:FiM. I also like the Myst series.
Twilight Sparkle likes books. Books are very important in the Myst universe.

plot idea:
Twilight stumbles upon a book hidden under her house/library's staircase. She reads through its incredible descriptions of an island and its inhabitants (the island from Myst 1) and is mesmerized by a moving picture on the rear book binding (I hope I got my terminology close to right). She places her hoof on the image, simply out of wonder, and becomes sucked in. Now, she must solve diabolical riddles and ethical dilemmas aplenty if she ever hopes to return home...

Having never finished Myst, but absorbed by the concept of Linking Books and travelling to amazing worlds, I really want this idea to reach fruition. Hopefully someone can do it.

another idea for a story

This one's relatively simple compared to the other one, but with its own set of challenges

A traveling minstrel comes to Ponyville, with the intent of creating the perfect song for its residents, especially for the Mane 6. During his stay, he learns much of them, and discovers that he can only make the best song with their help.

Obviously, the main challenge would be in actually creating a song that fits the Mane 6 perfectly. Perhaps different melodies for each that, when combined, form something greater? I'll have to think on this. And rewatch all the episodes. Woe is me =)

Idea for a MLP: FiM fanfic

Quick idea, not sure how feasible it is, or how to work out details, but here goes:

The Sun and Moon are almost eclipsed, something that has never happened in all Equestria's recorded history. Twilight asks Celestia in a letter why, and the response is a chariot for the mane 6 to come to Canterlot. Not even a letter.

When they arrive at Canterlot, they discover something resembling a black hole in place of the Palace, and both princesses trying desperately to hold it back. The mane 6 successfully use the Elements of Harmony to close it, but not before getting sucked in as the eclipse completes.

Now, they are trapped over 1000 years in the past, in an epic struggle between Order and Chaos, and must find a way home, before it is too late...

Eventually, they discover that the Elements of Harmony and the Nightmare are two sides of the same coin. I'm not sure yet what the proverbial coin would be, but I'm open to suggestions. Also, to return home, they have to recreate the events that cause Luna to become Nightmare Moon, thus restoring the proper timeline.

This is gonna be a bitch to work on.



obviously, major stuff would have to be changed just to make the story worth reading, but I think the concept something I could work with. I hope.
